Now that my uncle Tony is a free man and has his own blog, it's time to broaden the scope of this blog to encompass commentary of music, movies, politics, parenthood, war, peace, and anything else that strikes my fancy. Credit for the blog name goes to Horace by way of Wilfred Owen.

Some video footage of my uncle Tony
Looking for something entirely different, I found this video on YouTube. As might be expected, Oswaldo Payá is the protagonist, but his supporting cast consists of many of the activists (including my uncle Tony) who were later arrested and sentenced for their non-violent and constitutional petition drive. Oswaldo himself stresses the constitutional nature of the effort. I post this video because it contains some footage (including audio) of my uncle Tony. In fact, I think that's his big head in the foreground of the preview image you see now. I am in no way affiliated to the organization that produced the video and do not, in any way, endorse the organization's philosophy.
